Hi folks, have a new stove going in next week and looking to tile from floor to ceiling. These are tiles recommended and suited for fireplace. They're a large tile, and two tiles won't fit width of fireplace without being cut. Does this seem feasible or should i be getting a tiler to look at it first before buying tiles (note a professional tiler will be doing the job, just wondering whether i will buy tiles first)

Yes, talk to the tiler. Shouldn't be any problem cutting them, I had a floor done with large tiles and it involved some very intricate cutting which the tiler did perfectly. Still, that's not a floor and is a different situation. I personally would not like tiles that size up a wall, but that's a very personal view and irrelevant to your decision.
