IoT SIM plan?

Anyone got a recommendation for a good IoT SIM plan?

Need to ditch my current PAYG SIM that I've got in my Ajax alarm; the plan is really old and data is mad expensive on it.

Had looked at 1nce, but for business only.

Currently taking a look at Things Mobile and MobilityPass, both look ok for the alarm => both coming in around ~4€pm for the 50mb/month needed

Anyone here any experience with either of these plans? Or know of a better one?

Talk to these, it's €10, comes with 500Mb. You pay per the 500MB.

They can add texts so might up the costs such that the other ones you have listed are better.

Is that not designed just for trackers, very low data volume?

I saw complaints in the Amazon reviews that they disabled the service if they didn't like the IMEI

Well they also support some cameras, which would be relatively very high data usage. By comparison something like an alarm system should use very little data, specially if it is just a backup to a wired broadband connection.

Having said that, the Ajax alarm is not officially supported, so it would be a gamble if it worked or not.

Ajax alarm sim's covered here, I got my Riscso one from these folks a few years back, recurring payment, costs buttons TBH. I had the Sim card however !! Worth a look, I found them super helpful !

I use a three simm card in my new tp link router. Its 20 euro a month and does fine with 3 cameras on it 24/7

I can log in remotely and so on....

I just picked their pay as you go option... €5 for the SIM plus €5 credit.

Been on the plan about 2 weeks and my alarm has only used 45 cents so far

Talk about bad luck here, my own sim / m2m contract died a death recently, just ordered a lyca sim there.

SPM, any thing special to be done with the sim other than remove the pin from it ?

Not having much luck here so far, new sim installed today, credit added, but panel still offline. Wondering if i need to add or update the APN for the cloud. the installer docs seem to detail sms center numbers as opposed to APN stuff.

Any body have any exp with an agility 3 ?

Mine was custom set by the previous company who i had provide maintenance on said system .

You could " google " the installer manual, too obtain the default codes, but chances are they were changed by your installer. So, you could also review said manual on how to operate Dip switch 3 ... Ahem ..

FYI The lyca mobile sim worked with no issues - just needed to put it into a phone first to set it up, then transfer it over into the camera.

(Note Lycamobile is hosted on the Three network)

Is there a facility for auto-renewal of the Data XS 3GB/30 day addon? Currently use the Vodafone 5GB/28 addon, and it's a pain having to manually renew it.
