I was watching the new series of A House Through Time and David Olusoga happened to mention this site for death notices, he found the death of a woman who had lived in the house he was researching. I never knew this site existed, its a UK version of rip.ie. I can't find how far back the notices go, anyone else here know?

I think it is relatively new. Blog posts go back to July 2020. They say they have 4.7m death notices, some are historic, some are current. There would be 500000-600000 deaths a year in the UK.

A random search over the past decade for a surname showed results in every year.

The Wayback machine has only got captures from August 2018 though.

Hopefully it will become a really useful resources over time, just like rip.ie.
