"Do you think the law should be changed about protecting a child's identity if they rape someone?" - so, you want to know the names of sexually active children. Why is that?

Both brothers should be identified and that sentence is a joke ,if I'm correct the 3/4 years in oberstowns house ,for a violent rape that's rediculous

In the last few years, yes, they have. It's well known around town. And not just them two either, other relatives of their around the same age as well.

But when your given Carte Blanche to act whatever way you want to from when you learned to walk without any consequences....

There should be compulsorily family involvement in the sentencing for any child or young person who commits rape or sexual assault, it should be facilitated by a social worker or psychologist focusing on what role models the perpetrator had, especially male role models but also female role models, especially around thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, about woman sex and sexuality.

There are very offensive things said on AF about women from time to time, someone has taken the time to go to a social media website and say those things about women and not have the insight into how their thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs will affect what sort of parent they are or what sort of parent they may in the future especially to a son.

@mariaalice Easier said than done. You will find that dysfunctional families will generally not cooperate, and that their dysfunctions can be very well hidden. Only a moron would confirm to a social worker that their little cherub picked up ideas from something they witnessed at home.

It is not about witnessing something in the family it is much more subtle than that. The family might not be dysfunctional but those boys picked up their attitude from somewhere and it's usually the family.

What are you basing this wisdom on, if I may ask? It is not a trick question as I am genuinely curious.

I think in this case the older rapist was not named because that would lead to the younger rapist(his minor brother) being identified. In this case the withholding of names is to protect the underage rapist, not the victim
