Picked up a Hisense TV a few weeks ago

Every night it keeps rescanning 'empty' channels and is a pain in the ass

It makes it impossible to flick through channels

Wonder does anyone else have the same problem? Seems unfit for the Irish Market yet I bought it in curry's

Why don't you take it back as unfit for purpose?

Hi, when setting up the TV was there an option to select your country? If so, are you sure you have Ireland selected as if it is Saorview approved it should ignore these 'empty' channels.

Otherwise manually scan in the two muxes (all Saorview channels are shared across two frequencies) and then look into the settings menu and see if there is some sort of option for automatic updates and turn it off.
