Been on hold almost an hour ,I accidentally clicked on link earlier today to a fraudulent text , text indistinguishable from regular BOI text and sent on BOI number

Need to be able to get through when a security breach occurs.

a link to a fraudulent text, or a link in a fraudulent text?

What device were you using? Computer? Phone?

Did you enter any personal/banking details into the spoof site that the link brought you to?

Do you have anti-virus software on your computer?

It doesn't really sound like a "security breach". If you didn't do anything other than click the link on your phone, I'd say chances are you are safe enough.

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

So sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced yesterday reaching the Team.

The direct number for the Team is ROI freephone 1800946764. They are available to you 24/7.

If you did not enter any info when you clicked the link, we would advise to run a security check on your device.

If any info was provided, please call the number above and my colleagues can certainly help you.

We would also ask you, if you have not done so already to delete the fraudulent SMS from your device. Our Security Team are actively managing this for us.

Hoping the info helps. Feel free to check in with us anytime,

    Many thanks

    Alison
