DPG Regen Smell

Hi there, I have a 2012 VW Passat 1.6 and ever since I bought it there’s been an issue with the smell of the DPF filter but only when it’s doing a regeneration. I only get the smell as well when the car is stationary. When I am driving I don’t get any smell. Is it a simple patch fix/replace a pipe or is it an expensive…

Hi there,

That's normal. I get it on my civic if it has just finished a regen and I pull up. The smell is like burned plastic.
