Last week I went for a bath to Grattan Beach, Salthill, that is great though, and what I saw on the foreshore is a number of "clews", some small, others bigger, brown-coloured.
At first glance, they seem to be earthworms, or residues of fishing nets covered by some wet sand, but they are not, they are fully made of sand, so I got curious and decided to ask.
How are they formed? Anyone here knows?
op, what's a clew? genuinely curious
Nothing like a 'word of the day' ... https://www.thefreedictionary.com/clew
