Anyone else watching this? Mrs Sleepy put it on and it just astonished me how much they're screwing over the participants this year. The original format was quite interesting but obviously didn't generate enough drama for them because this time around they're following the Australian format and seem to be selecting vile attention seeking scum for the sake of adding drama instead of actually trying to match people with someone who could be a good partner for them.

So far it's the lads you'd be feeling sorry for. Poor Ant got saddled with an abusive knacker who's destroyed herself with bad cosmetic surgery. You'd have to imagine OFCOM have been flooded with complaints about her. Nikita needs therapy, not the kind of fame that comes from making a show of yourself on television.

Yes, its the usual pandering to the lowest common denominator to drive viewing figures.

It used to seem like such a genuine show with genuine participants.

Now it’s just attention seekers with no skill or discernible talent and so no other way to get on tv. They’re not even pretending to be suitable marriage material.

It’s all in shockingly bad taste and I’m still hooked.

The change of format to copy the Australian format is definitely an attempt to stir up the drama, so far all couples (bar the gay couple) appear to be mismatched with better matches being paired with different people. Nikita really is the lowest of the low, an attention seeking brat with no respect for anyone, her husband seems to be ok. Morag is a drama Queen who's been paired with a decent guy, but, has shown him absolutely no respect whatsoever.

The girl who got married to the older guy seems to be the best of the brides both in looks and personality, comes across as a lovely woman, not sure about the guy she's been paired with, difficult to know what to make of him, but, not getting good vibes off him. Think they could have gotten a better match for her.

It'll be interesting when they all end up living in the same building and some of the participants start eying up the other pairs.

Seems Morag has done the rounds of other Dating Shows apparently, Nikita is like a spoiled brat, the older lady seems nice. How do the men not just leave the experiment with women like Nikita screeching at them, showing no respect whatsoever?

I definitely think some of the couples are planted there to create controversy, probably getting paid to appear and will go in first few weeks once the genuine couples begin to get established. Nikita and her husband look very much like a couple that are more interested in increasing their followers on social media. Morag too seems like a fake participant, but, her husband seems genuine, so not sure what the score is there. Btw what else was Morag on?

Caught the final episode and re-union shows last night. Really shocking to see how the levels of toxic behaviour from some of the women that the "experts" didn't call out at all over the course of the series: full sympathy for Amy when Josh clearly had enough of her temper tantrums, inviting Nikita back on for the reunion show despite having had to remove her from the show due to a violent incident at one of the dinner parties, not calling out Morag's emotional abuse of Luke when she was clearly on the show try and get famous....

Seems like they really don't live up to the duty of care you expect them to have on a show like this.

Lovely to see the two couples that worked out though: Daniel evidently got his wish as Twitter suggests Matt moved to Northern Ireland and Tayah and Adam were like two teenagers throughout. Franky and Marilyse obviously didn't work out in the real world as he's apparently already back out in Dubai...

I caught the end of the show soo glad that Luke ghosted Morag in the outside world probably had millions of messages from nice women. She humiliated him in every episode.l In m y opinion the men in the series were nice men and the women were frightening. Its no wonder there are less marriages today . Who in his right mind could endure these divas and create a loving family with them . They are self obsessed, obnoxious, emasculating and they alone are responsible for plastic in the oceans killing fish with all thier fillers and plastic maintenance. Horrible creature in fact they all look like drag queens not nice ladies whom you would like to take home to your parents. Good help young men these days.

There's definitely double standards in the show.The experts do seem to be mainly concerned with the feelings of the women, they don't seem to take the men's feelings into account that much at all, the attitude seems to be that the men should be grateful to have any woman look at them and should put up with anything these divas want. The women get away with terrible behaviour, want all their own way, no compromise, while, the guys always get pulled up on the slightest thing.
