Cateye Rapid X - rear light

I have a Cateye rapid x rear light which is now about 4-5 years old, recently it was taken out to get for for the upcoming dark evenings. I have noticed that when the light is fully charged and the cable is disconnected the light is staying on. This means then the battery is running down a lot quicker - is there anything that i can do or is the light goosed ?

When electronics start acting up, there isn't usually much you can do, especially after five years of use.

(The light that is staying on that you mention is the charging indication light, rather than the main light in the body?)

Same thing happened to me it seem to correct itself but I think if you get around 5 years it's not so bad are worth having .

Jesus - if I get two years out of a light I'd consider it owing me nothing. Time for a new one!

Ah yeah, that's no good. I'd say, as they say, the light owes you nothing, and get a new one.
