Registering 12 to 15s

I seem to be caught in a loop on the HSE portal. I clicked the correct link to register my child and it says to enter the parent or guardian details. When I do it says this account already exists as I have registered and received my vaccine. So instead I click the link underneath that says I already have an account. Once I login I see my status but no option to register my children. Am I missing something or is there a big bug with the portal?

You enter an email address / phone number for you but your child’s details - it will then ask your relationship to the child and the mothers maiden name.

Yep, this is correct I registered my Son, I used a different email to the one I used for my vaccination, and gave my Sons mobile number.

Yes I did figure this out yesterday when I read it now carefully. They have an appointment for tomorrow already!

If one has more than one child to register, do they get their appointments at the same time?

They said if the appointments are the same day you can do them all together.

That's pretty much what one of my neighbours was told, appointments 4 hours apart and they said it was completely fine as long as they were the same day as it wouldn't affect the number of vaccines needed at the center on the day.

Hi folks do you need photo id for under 16s ? Can’t find our kids passport but have her birth cert and pps etc. Appt message just says if over 16 bring photo id

HSE website says:

If 12 to 15 year olds do not have any identification, the adult who brings them to their appointment can confirm their identity and their age.

I know when you have multiple kids you have some flexibility in that you can bring them in together regardless of the time indicated.

My two just had their second shot appt set for next week during school hours. Would anyone know is the intention that we should take the kids out of school to make the appt time or can we just show up after school?

I'd say just show up after school or else go to a walk in clinic at the w/e if there's one in your area? That's what I plan to do if appt during my work hours/their school hours. We very lucky to be able to practically pick & choose a time now!

Just to follow up on this I did contact the HSE who expected you to take the kids out of school. As they're just barely back I'll opt to take them to a walk-in instead.
