Legs of Kitchen chairs rubbing against tiles, what to add to stop the squeak?

I have been using little bits of felt for years, but lucky if I get a week or two out of them before having to reapply.

Chairs are constantly in a state of making terrible squeaking noises when being moved about.

1st world problem I know, but is there anything more permanent that could be added which might last a lot longer?

I use carpet - trim a small disc and then glue it to the leg of the chair - much more hardwearing than the stuff you buy in the shops. a small waste piece of carpet will do loads of chairs - just trim the disc small enough that it cant be seen outside the edge, and off you go.
