Previously imported Nissan Leaf Flex - who owns the battery

Buying a Leaf at the moment and the cartell name comes up as a flex. I know that this means that the battery is leased but I also know they could be bought out from Nissan.

The only reference to this I can see is that it would be impossible to import to Ireland with an outstanding battery lease but maybe that's not the case

The car was imported from the UK in 2019 and was traded into a dealer that I want to buy from. They don't sell a lot of electric cars and swear blind that there's no lease on the battery and they'll put that on the sale agreement. While I have dealt with them before and are around a long time I'm not sure if they know for sure as they though that was only an issue with Renaults.

Is there any way to check if Nissan have any claim on this previously UK car that has been in Ireland for the last 3 years?
