Passenger Locator form query

    Hi all,

I'm resident in the UK but flying home to Cork tomorrow and have just filled in the passenger locator form.

I am fully vaccinated so I don't need to take any tests, just provide my vaccination proof.

I was just about to click print on the PDF form, and I noticed an exclamation mark under my name stating '! Requires attention at the boarding gate'

Does anyone know if this simply means the airline staff must request to see my proof of vaccination, or is there something else I'm not aware of?

Anyone else had this warning on their locator form?

    Thanks in advance!

It just means that you'll have to show the form at the airport. I was asked to produce it 3 times on the UK side but never on the Ireland side.

The amount off times I've read that on board s. " no check on the Irish side".it smacks of ah sure go on you'll be grand. Its wrong on every level.

Post from today to say everyone's forms were being checked on the Irish side. As it should be tbh.

Nothing checked for me today, also first time in 10 years of traveling that I was not asked to prove my son is mine too! Throughly checked by American Airlines at the gate though and a few denied boarding.

Do Irish citizens returning from Spain need to fill in Passenger locator forms? Just heading to Spain for a few days, I've done the Spanish one, do I need to do the Irish one too ?

It doesn't matter where you're coming from, you still need to fill in the PLF.

Ah folks, I'm in trouble now. I'm travelling on Wednesday and filling in the Spanish PLF. My digital Covid cert has the shortened version of my name and the upload has been rejected as it does not match my passport. I've applied to change my Covid cert on the Irish portal but they cannot guarantee I will get the amended cert in time. Has anyone else had this problem ??

Get a Covid test within 48 hours of travelling, I think most countries still accept that, but you'd have to check the website. Also, you don't need to upload the PLF or the green pass anywhere, you can keep them as separate documents, despite what the airline websites say.

Also, bring along the little cardboard which was filled in when you got vaccinated, it could help (some people were asked to show it).

That was my plan for this afternoon but I managed to get it sorted. I deleted the cert, entered the details manually using my full name and hey presto I got the magic QR code. I'll bring everything with me including vaccination cert, card and printout of where I applied to change the name on my cert. The relief !!

Not an thing, they barely glanced at it. She just asked if I had my proof of double vaccination (which I did), which again she barely glanced at. I think it just means that they need to tick the box by asking if you have proof.

This happened to me. I re applied using my passport card number and just gave the name without my middle name. No problem.

    Hi all

Just to jump on - does anybody know the process for Passanger Locator Form with Ryanair from Ireland to Germany. I’ve looked around, but not well enough I think, and I am not 100% sure if this needs to be done in advance, or at the departing airport.

This is for a family member, so I want to give the right advice.

    Thanks!

The Passenger Locator Form is not a Ryanair form, it's a EU one and whether it has to be filled in will depend on each country. Remember that if they return within two weeks, they'll have to include both Germany AND Ireland in the list of countries they've travelled to.

Thank you New Home! So, it doesn’t seem mandatory for Germany, but, you are right, it may be necessary for the return. So just going to fill it all out for both countries to be sure!

It IS necessary for the way home 😉

This happened to me today, no use to you now but maybe future travellers, my middle name is on my passport but not my DCC so the SpTH form wouldn’t accept it, there is an option to manually input the DCC info, just did that & it was acceptable & QR code issued
