Hi folks just wondering what are yer thoughts on the best stocked lakes in the country? I have fished Laois angling centre, a place in Wicklow can’t think of the name of it and Adaire springs, I mostly fish for wild browns but the winter is coming so looking for recommendations

I'm new to the put and take lakes, so also interested in this

have fished Southern County in Garryhill Co Carlow a few times in the last month as it's fairly local to me - had good sport both days, lots of rainbows around the 2lb mark, well confitioned and good fighting fish

harder to attract the larger fish, of which there are plenty - foul hooked a 10lb fish in the tail, he did a few laps around the lake

Hope to head to Ardaire and Loch Mahon over the coming months and also Rathcon, all of which are within an hours drive

No trout fishing in Lough Mahon anymore. All course fishing now…Shame really. Was a decent spot.
