When I bought my first bike in Germany after I arrived I got a huge f*ck off chain. When I was paying for it the nice lady in the Louis store asked was I off to the Czech Republic for a holiday. In the two years I lived there I used that big Abus chain all of once !! No one ever touched my bike no matter where i left it.

I tell my Canadian pals about bike crime and vandalism and like the above poster, it is as over their head as the Germans.

I moved home a few years ago (have since moved back to Canada), brought my Rnine T with me and had it parked in the front garden, locked up etc. Someone stole my bike cover...my neighbour caught it on his CCTV camera. Just a car driving up at 4am and goes in and takes it.

It was around then I decided to move back to Canada.

Hope you get your bike fixed and it won't cost too much.

Didnt catch that part you picked up- but the wires look like they might be easy enough to attach.

garage might want to replace the ignition switch and steering lock - but if you need a cheap fix a crimping tool might be enough..
