Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I grew it with a hybrid for a while. The ley only lasted about three years. Crop was poor in year three. I grew straight hybrids for a few years as well same issue after three year the ley grew too weak and need to be reseeded. I replaced it with a standard grazing/silage ley.

Is it possible to stitch in extra red clover seed ? - or even broadcast it to keep the ley going .

Did you have to do anything different at harvest ? ( No conditioner on the mower or knives on the baler ) , as the leaf is quite "fragile" compared to grass silage ..

Needs to be mowed high to stop the clover dying out. Hard to get a contractor to do this.

Sowed the 17th May after 1st cut

Stiched in 4 kg red clover and 11 kg hybrid

Took 2nd cut 7 week ago and that's the aftermath
