Vanishing Claims on MyWelfare.ie

    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced their claim disappearing on MyWelfare.ie?

I applied for Back to School Allowance back in early July but as of this morning my claim has disappeared, previously it was in a waiting review from an officer status.

I don't know what to do now, should I reapply or is this normal.

I'd hold off and perhaps call them Monday, it may be an update is being done on the site, from previous experience of this portal, updates seem to be done late Fridays into Saturday. The portal was plagued with issues around the start and during the height of the Pandemic presumably because of large volumes of traffic.

The fact your claim has gone to review status means there should be a record of it so hold off, check again, maybe Sunday /Monday and if not showing, call them, I'm sure it will be fine.

Just wanted to give an update in case others find this happening:

DSP informed me that after 30 days if an application has not been approved / declined, that it will automatically disappear from MyWelfare.ie

However, the claim itself is still under review and once a decision is made a notification will be sent in MyWelfare.ie with the outcome

That's great to know and more importantly your claim not lost in the system, thanks for the update, will help others 😉

Thank you! I noticed mine had disappeared this morning and just found this thread - good to know I don't have to apply again :-) Bit of a silly system though, they must get tons of uncessary phone calls because of this.
