Goshawk hanging around

Hi

I have twice in recent weeks seen a Goshawk near my home in Kerry. On each occasion it flew into a woodland at high speed within 30 metres of me. Today it glided by just in front of my car, dived through a gap in the trees at the edge of the wood, then banked hard right and flew low through the wood. I regularly see Hen Harriers, buzzards and Sparrowhawks, this is defiantly a Goshawk.

Anyone know have Goshawks done well in Ireland in recent years, are they now breeding in Kerry ?

Some reports from the Killarny region earlier this year but exact locations are kept under wraps for obvious reasons

Thanks for that, Killarney is my closest city, breath taking to see one fly through the woods like that..
