Rooibos Tea

I love it - usually buy Barry's or Robert's.. have tried other brands to like Tick Tock and 11 O' Clock but they are more expensive...

Yesterday I discovered that Tesco have own brand Rooibos now €3 for 80 - (Barry's are €3 for 40)..

Just tested them there are they are fab.. nice one..

Rooibos is not tea. It's a different plant. The correct term is herbal infusion, but of course most people just call every herb you steep in water 'tea' for convenience.

Tea is Camellia sinensis

Redbush or rooibos is Aspalathus linearis

And another super popular one , called mate or yerba mate or erva mate or chimarrão, is Ilex paraguariensis

tis easier to call it "tea" lol

Whilst the teabags are fine, I recommend trying the leaf “tea” Rooibos. It’s in completely different league.
