Renewing and Public Service Card

Hi,

Not sure if this is the best place to post...I need to renew my license, hence I need a Public Service Card. I have been trying to get an appointment with the local Welfare office for long time, without success (no respond to e-mail, phone calls, they don't want you in person, etc, etc).

Has anyone had successfully either got a PSC recently, or renewed his/her license without one?

just following as I need a new one soon too. Have you tried going in -person to the local centre? that was my plan - hope to just drop in next week but they probably won't make it that easy.

I got an appointment for a PSC card (Tallaght Intreo office) Had to postpone the original date by 2 weeks but they had no issue with that. I wasnt waiting too long originally so its hit and miss. I'd keep trying.

I have a full motorbike license that I need to renew but want to get a learners permit for the car.

Coincidentally, I received a positive update yesterday shortly after I posted here. The Intreo Centre on D’Olier Street PSC Centre on (01) 704 0508/(01) 704 0520 are handling this so I rang them and was put on the waiting list for an appointment straight away.

I was told I should receive the appointment details by the end of the month.

The lady I spoke to was very helpful and everything was easy enough...now I hope I do get the confirmation of the appointment.

You don't need a PSC to renew a driving license- you can make an appointment with the NDLS to do so in person without a PSC.

You are actually right! I have just double checked and the PSC requirement is only to do it online
