Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was there anything to be taken from the Charity Shield today?

Ihaenacho on the bench. Barnes coming off. Both looking rotation risks or getting subbed early.

    Amartey (4.0) starting.

    Chelsea line up this evening.

    Mendy

    Chalobah - Zouma - Rudiger

    CHO - Kante Ⓒ - Kovacic - Alonso

    Ziyech - Havertz

Not sure what to make of that with Rudiger in my team for the weekend..

    Ziyech (Havertz)

    1-0 Chelsea.

Spurs lose 1-0 - wonder does that mean a stronger team next Thursday.

Sorry if this isn't the correct thread.

Note they still might make an allowance for these players because they are meant to be sticking to their own bubble or whatever they call it

Assist for Brandon Willams for Norwich's 2nd goal in EFL Cup.

Arsenal leading by 3 against West Brom reserves.

Auba 2 goals and an assist.

Auba hatrick - Checks to see Arsenal's fixtures and price, hmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,778 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Elyounoussi who I've never heard of but plays for Southampton got a hattrick and 2 assists. The lad is 27 - so not a kid - surely that performance (albeit against Newport County), might get him some game time in the league.

KWP got a goal and assist - so if Livramento is taking his spot, this main be cause for concern over next few GW's, as Southampton had a relatively strong side.

Antonio makes his debut for Jamaica v Panama tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,147 ✭✭✭Xander10

    Ronaldo (Bruno)

Might see a bit more of that in the PL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Trent (Salah) Trent scoring like he's a forward.

    Salah missed a penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,947 ✭✭✭shmeee

    Changed to an OG.

    TAA is so far forward.

At least thats Salahs penalty miss out of the way.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,947 ✭✭✭shmeee

    City go 2 up.

    Ake (Grealish)

    And an OG. (KDB)

Man City XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Ake, Zinchenko, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Grealish, Torres, Mahrez.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,787 ✭✭✭Benimar

    Changed to OG (TAA).

Imagine the meltdown if that happened in the PL!

Liverpool concede 2 goals before half time after total domination for the first 35/40 mins.

    Jota seems quiet.

TAA playing well, getting into excellent positions.

Salah makes up for it by scoring Liverpool's 2nd.

    Mane now on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,947 ✭✭✭shmeee

    City 4

    RB 2

    Mahrez penalty for the 3rd

    Grealish with the 4th

Many would like to see some Torres involvement..... I've a feeling he may be rested now weekend. Rodri and BSilva taken off at 60th min.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,947 ✭✭✭shmeee

Hahaha and just as I said it....

    Torres gets the 5th!

    *Edit... Var-ed offside

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,714 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Antonio starts for West Ham, Benrahma and Coufal benched

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,033 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Leicester seem to be playing a 4-4-2 with 2 strikers alternating dropping into the hole. Barnes missed from 6 yards out but th signs he is getting in to positions. Perez is lively.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,033 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

And Perez has just scored. Barnes assist.

How's Daka doing? Heard he's fairly highly rated, was surprised he went to Leicester

5 all prem ties in next round.

Leicester won 4-3 in Moscow. The new lad Patson Daka scored all 4, with assists from Tielemans, Maddison and Nacho(2). Vardy unused sub.

Lukaku subbed off with an ankle injury

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭GetWithIt

Interesting lineups for the Caraboa Cup.

ESR and White start and are the only 2 from the weekend to retain their places. I think that means they’re undroppable rather than won’t play next GW. Guaranteed injuries though.

Alonso starts in a back 4 and gets the captaincy. Havertz starts up front. James on the right. Perhaps he needs the games, but it would put me off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,947 ✭✭✭shmeee

Of course the only player to not return on Saturday in that 7-0 thumbing has just scored for Chelsea.....

Ah ya!!! FPL gods are looking down on all of us who had the band on Havertz.

What's the story with the following...

Asian & South American World Cup Qualifier's

    AFCON

I understand that most AFCON related players will miss GW 22,23 & 24(potentially)

But what's the story with players in Asia & South American with their qualifiers?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,398 Mod ✭✭✭✭F1ngers

    AFCON 2022. 9/1 - 6/2

This is how I see it, apologies if I've made a mistake - double check for yourselves.

    All players will miss GW22.

    Group stages finish 17th-20th.

Anyone finishing on the 17th/18th would possibly be available to play GW23(21st-23rd), anyone finishing 19th/20th will more than likely miss it, some may play 23rd.

Round of 16/quarters(23rd-30th) through to semis(2nd/3rd Feb.) will see players back for GW24.

    Final is 6th Feb.

    GW24 starts 8th Feb.

Anyone playing in the final on the 6th whose team are playing on the 8th/9th will most likely miss GW24.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Wolves and Leicester play the 10th - slim chance their players will be available for GW24 if any of their players make the final.

Tottenham with 0 shots in first half. Not a single shot.

Spurs are woeful. Lukaku looks like he ate too much Christmas pudding and Werner is still learning the offside rule.

I won't be rushing to sign any of the above

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,714 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Bilva goal (Palmer)....City with a very strong team out, could run up a huge score here if they're halfway bothered
