Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can you spray some Spot-On around the udder to keep the flies away? Maybe a garlic lick in with them too?

If they have calves sucking them I'd not sure what will stay on long enough to allow it to heal over.

I could try but not sure it would work effectively to stop flies, i have garlic in field for months.

We have a cow (2007) suffering every year with sore teat and weeping eyes. In July 2019 the Vet recommended the above, 50 ml IM followed by a second 50ml IM the following day. When I looked up the record just now, the first was administered on the 23rd and the second on the 27th. She healed up completely and was free of it last year, it has reoccurred this year. Put out the garlic lick - didn't make a difference.

    That's a three day long-acting antibiotic.

(Opens as a download for me, btw)

All I could suggest is daily application of the cream. Any skin cream is going to need that as a minimum. Stuff called Cheno-unction has a fly-repellent, I think.

    A tonic might help.

It's a safe download from the hpra site, it was the only option available using a mobile.

Thanks for advice, she got an Allsure bolus, maybe she should get a shot of multi-min, or is that overload.
