Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Steering cable coming off of helm

Hi all, I replaced the steering cable on my rib, however when I turn full lock to go to port and the arm that pulls the engine retracts back in fully the the cable disengages from the helm.

Is there any adjustment I can make to the steering to prevent the arm going all the way when turning the wheel? If it stopped an inch or two short it would not disengage.

The replacement cable is the exact same size and type as the original.

    Thanking you in advance

I take it is a rotary steering system, try counting how many turns you have on the steering wheel from lock to lock while its not connected to the engine then half the amount of turns to get the centre of the cable run and then connect it back up to the engine making sure the engine is straight. you might also have some adjustment on the link arm that goes to the engine use this to line up the engine instead of turning the steering wheel.

Hope that helps best of luck.
