help with second electric shower

my original electric shower in bathroom was cut off last year by subsequent electrician when i got another one in my ensuite. At that stage he said id need a priority board. fast forwrd to today, guy comes over to reattach shower in bathroom and said cable in box is too short and it will cost alot more than originally…

Presumably the cable is underrated for the load of the electric shower fitted. What power rating is the shower?
It would be difficult to estimate the cost without having seen the installation in question. It will depend on the length of cable required and the difficulty/time required in installing it.
