Getting unwanted notifications for every post in RS

There is a thread in Feedback about this but could someone in RS please talk to the admin or tech support people in boards because since the recent major update to the platform, I and several people are getting a notification every time someone starts a thread or posts in an existing thread in this forum. https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058200079/richersounds-ie#latest

Sorry about this folks - I don’t get Boards notifications as part of my social media minimisation, and changing global forum settings is not a Moderation task.

I’ve dropped a PM to the Community Manager to alert them to this issue.

I am getting flood with this also, plus the Welcome to new Boards 1.0 platform thread, for every single post. makes the notifications borderline pointless

For me notifications have been broken for 6 months or so.

I get notifications from stuff I've unsubscribed from.

I get no notifications from some threads.

Often old notifications which I've deleted weeks ago, are sent again, then again.

Got so bad I deleted my old account which I had a very long time. The new account doesn't get notifications. I've given up.

Folks,

Thanks for bringing this issue to the attention of the RS team.

As posted above, this issue has been noted by the Boards Team - there is an existing Boardies thread about RS in the Feedback forum if you wish to add your voice on the matter, and that forum is the appropriate place where any issues like this arising from the new platform can be surfaced. Posts on the subject there are more likely to be noticed and actioned by the appropriate Boards personnel.

No further posts on this thread for the moment please.

We're very sorry for the hassle of being inundated with notifications. You should have some more control over notifications from categories now from your Notification Preferences page: https://www.boards.ie/profile/preferences . We will have to investigate further to make this more granular, but hopefully this will start cutting down on the number of (unwanted) notifications you receive. If there are still issues with notifications, it would be best to highlight it in Feedback (this thread was started on the same topic)

Still getting up to a dozen Richer sounds.ie notifications.

Just out of curiosity, can you show us a screenshot of your notification settings?

I have found a new page not seen before and followed a link by Mark which now shows a big long list of my preferences and pop ups and RS was ticked for both and now unticked and that should fix my problem cheers

You can opt out in your Profile under Notifications. I think the RS forum may have been ticked by default in Vanilla for some/all users for some reason.

I'm having the same issue. Getting notifications for every single post being made in the Fantasy Sports Arena forum. I've edited my notification preferences but still no change.
