Private dwelling to commercial back again

    Hi

    10yrs ago bought an old house in a town and knocked it and built 2 story building in its place and changed it to a commercial premises now I am thinking may revert back to private and change it to living quarters again would there be much red tape or hassle thanks for help

    Easier to convert from commercial to residential than the other way around, as you have no issues with fire cert, disabled access cert etc. You'll need planning permission at a minimum though. The rest, you'll need a professional to carry out a desk/site review to identify any other issues you might face, as they're more site-specific. The fact it was previously a residential building works in your favour though.
