Yet after playing the FBD league in the dome last year, Galway and Roscommon got promoted from division 2 and Mayo got to the division 1 final.

Amazingly, the players didn't forget how to play football outdoors despite a couple of preseason games taking place on astro turf.

This dome should get demolished like the Pontiac dome in Detroit. Or at least have its roof collapse like the Vikings metrodome. There is no place for dome’s in gaa.

Roscommon are just dreadful. Non stop hand passing, kicks backwards or sideways and never an end product. They cannot play gaa.

Hard to read too much into that one way or the other really.

Brickenden looks a bit unsure of himself...haven't seen a lot of him tbh so not sure if he has more gears available.

Hession had a decent game....big year ahead for him hopefully.

And a shout out to Aidan O'Shea....not many people have appeared in Love Island and an FBD Final in the same week

Yes got robbed twice with the ball taken out of his hands. That would be a disaster for a full back and tbh very little pressure applied in his area. It's early days but if we are looking to AOS to get us out of tight games, this is really worrying. None of the young guys really impressed and I hope they had a hard training session/ game before this game.

Loftus, ROD and Hession were the pick for me. It also seems COC will be on the frees

It'll obviously be decided between them and Mcstay who takes the frees if they are both in the pitch at the same time.There seemed to be a bit of confusion last year but they were never really both playing g at the same time.

My vote goes to Cillian aswell although Ryan has proved himself on frees too and will be the free taker for years when CIllian goes. It's a nice problem to have.

Not have Robbie for the longe range kicks last year really hurt us,especially against Galway,glad he'll be back too.

Brickenden is too slow in very facet of his game for this level imo. The likes of Clifford would absolutely destroy him. Even comer .

ROD is going to run himself into the ground. He spent more time in the full back line second half than full forward line. I’m not sure if it’s instruction from management or just himself trying to stay involved in the game . Maybe a bit of both. It needs to stop though. Cillian used to be the same and it lead to injuries

ROD was up and down supporting but it seems that was the plan and hit on the break, but it never really happened. Tbh it ended up looking like there was no plan on how to play. ROD is just so committed in how he plays. He really works hard. Time to move on from Coen as captain just doesn't fill the boots enough for me. ROD for me is a better fit based on how he plays.

Yeah, those should all be definite. Maybe carney too. You'd hope that a few fringe/young lads like McDonagh, Orme, Callinan, McHugh, Coyne, etc. can step up a level and become nailed on starters

We have to try out new lads but we should have a really strong bench tomorrow aswell.

Depressing enough looking at that hair back line and comparing it to some of the players who couldn’t even make it over the past decade

Hope there are changes to the team and in particular that sector . Interesting to see Reape edge out Byrne. He deserves the shot based on what I’ve seen from both .
