Smart Meter

    Hi Electric Ire I inquired about getting my Day/Night meter upgraded to a Smart Meter ad was referred to ESB Networks. I made same enquiry there and they referred me back to my supplier (Electric Ireland). Where should I go now???

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    ESB Networks are managing the smart meter roll-out. While Electric Ireland can pass on a customer's details to ESB Networks for consideration, it is not possible in your case as you have a day/night meter. These meters are not being exchanged at the present time. We're very sorry for the confusion.

    Once ESB Networks are replacing day/night meters in your area, they will be in touch with you.

    I have a Day/Night meter and I would not consider a smart meter based on what I've heard. No savings to the consumer! Still if you want to save the planet go ahead!!
