Hi Electric Ire I inquired about getting my Day/Night meter upgraded to a Smart Meter ad was referred to ESB Networks. I made same enquiry there and they referred me back to my supplier (Electric Ireland). Where should I go now???

    Hi Boardnashea,

Thank you for getting in touch.

ESB Networks are managing the smart meter roll-out. While Electric Ireland can pass on a customer's details to ESB Networks for consideration, it is not possible in your case as you have a day/night meter. These meters are not being exchanged at the present time. We're very sorry for the confusion.

Once ESB Networks are replacing day/night meters in your area, they will be in touch with you.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,

    Aoife

I have a Day/Night meter and I would not consider a smart meter based on what I've heard. No savings to the consumer! Still if you want to save the planet go ahead!!
