    Bloody fool.

Joeen tittering and laughing and thinking he's a great fella letting the country know people and going up North to buy home heating oil.

How many families will be sitting in the cold this Christmas on account of Joe's loose lips.

I would LOVE a fuel merchant from Cavan to ring in and get absolutely thick with Joe for airing this.

I remember one showing a lad who's business was half on the north and half on the south, he would have the tanks filled in the north with a pipeline bringing it to the south piece of the business to sell it.

I turned on for 20 seconds to hear Joe ask not one but two callers “wat colour is de diesel?”.

He’s a parody of himself at this stage. Sadly can’t listen but sounds like there’s GOLD imminent.

Clonmel has always been known to be very expensive for heating oil. There is a bit of a cartel going on.

This is why Joe is superior to the likes of KT - both are dumb and boring as fck, but only Joe has that extra zing of uber stupidness which gives the slim chance of GOLD.

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

Would love to be able to listen into the discussion now between Joe and the producers when they explain to him that he has been promoting the business of a smuggler for the last 20 minutes because they neglected to do a 10 second Google search.

Next your car will be weighed crossing the border and again on the way back.

Road diesel either side is clear, so any attempt to run a coloured fuel would be caught on dipping and an eyebrow raised.

I tried it, filled up my aux tank with green diesel and took off to the UK in my diesel Toyota. Was never stopped, but was going to argue that I'd not attempted to evade UK regs because I'd not bought the agridiesel in the UK, as could be seen from the colour.

Relatedly - I was using biofuel and vegoil in my Transit for a couple of years, and got dipped in Cork. The Revenue blokes were ok, once I explained I had tried, several times, for an answer from the Revenue offices, but never got one.

At the end of that, the only thing that was proposed was that for future use, I could (could, mind) forecast my likely useage and pay some duty (about 13c/L) up front.

    Or, do it retroactively.

Whatever, this is all different from using green diesel on Irish roads, which is something I've not deliberately done - did it once by accident at a badly lit pump in the sticks.

Going by his outro before the break it sounded like it's being dropped. Reckon they're getting calls in from rural fuel merchants across the country who are struggling.

    Edit: Never mind.

In fairness, Border dwellers have an easier life as they can take advantage of a whole host of things. Surprised a border city is not materialising yet

Joe defending a 20 minute free ad for Smuggler Michael Byrne by saying "we are allowed to discuss the environment". I don't recall the environment being mentioned once.
