  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,495 ✭✭✭leath_dub

Plenty of other places nearby to stay but let’s not bother with any of that

You could stay in an Ennis or Bunratty B&B & get a taxi

I thought the point was that the run rate was expensive for the cawlur, but it actually seems to be that if I can’t afford my fun then nobody else should have fun either.

Will dere be movies showing Elvis and Mickey Mouse, Joe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,548 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

The person doesn't have to go....Christ...who cares...

If they want to go...they don't have to stay in the hotel...

How much does funny fryday cost RTE? Who pays for the hotel stays? Are the "talent" paid? If so how much? Who decides who is involved?

There was a conference in London a year or so back, attending the event is free but overnight accommodation was something like 2k per night. The stickler was that there was no other choice, and delegates to the conference had to use the accommodation promoted or they wouldn't be attending.

I was invited by Ticketmaster to go to the Garrit Brukes concert Joe.

I didn't go cos the hotel was very dear and I detest his music. And the tickets they wanted me to buy were expensive.

Can I ring in and complain that despite Ticketmaster inviting me, I would have had to drive 650 km if I didn't want to stay in a hotel for a concert I didn't want to go to.

    Wash your mouth out, caller.

Joe could certainly go there - but only if RTE is footing the bill.
