Only way this can get entertaining is if some animal nutter comes on to claim rats lives matter

Joe's like a terrier with a rat, when it comes to easy subjects to stir up.

Hasn't this GP thing already been rammed far enough down our throats. All that's left if for Joe to get off listening to individual stories of pay-an and suffuren

I've no idea about your situation or why it happened. There is a large group of scum out and about in towns and cities around the country. there was a man killed in Athlone on a stag party at the weekend for no reason. It's not just one group or demographic it's happening to.

They should do house visits for €350 a go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭crazy 88

FFS this is a completely different issue. GPs don't do house calls because they don't want to. The model has changed since they've all invested in fancy clinics

Could these sons/daughters calling on behalf of their parents not take a morning or afternoon off wurk and load their parent in to the Range Rover and drop them down to the GP?

some RTE personalities were charging 5000 grand to make appearances at the opening of supermarket stores and that was nearly 20 year ago

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,326 ✭✭✭crazy 88

You've no idea what happened in Athlone, whether it was unprovoked or not. So don't be using that as a comparison.

Point is you should be allowed to be whoever you are anywhere at any time and not be told you shouldn't have dressed this way or that way and you only brought it on yourself.

Completely agree. I am going to the same GP practice since I was a child. When I was younger we had a family GP who knew the family and was excellent.

The practice expanded a few years ago and began calling itself a medical centre - thats when it all went wrong. You cant even get an appointment now if you are sick. There best advice they can give is to ring the HSE out of hours service or go to A & E. The service is now disgraceful. Its all about making money. We pay €70 now to see a random GP for 3 minutes and thats when we are lucky to get an appointment.
