She doesn't believe we should eat lobster but she would eat lobster if it was the end of the night and it was going in the bin?

I'd say she is a nightmare for waiters. "Can I have your vegan menu and a look in your bin please"

This lad is a joke, they're not being boiled alive but they are being dropped while alive into boiling water. I think that's called Jesuitical thinking?

How long before we have people complaining that fruit and vegetables have feelings and we shouldnt be eating them.

In a few years we will have people living on vitamin pills and supplements!

I remember staying on an organic pig farm in Laois, very good animal husbandry folk who run accommodation too. They have own slaughterhouse and make sure that the pig has no sense of anything having gone on before, it’s all sanitised before individual dispatch so animal has no anxiety before fully humane death and meat is much more tender.

It is correct you can use a knife to paralyse a lobster, thus stopping toxins spreading but it's a skill , Boling unfortunately the safest method. Unfortunately when your training to be a chef , its not in the curriculum on how to kill a fish or animal kindly .

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

    John 21:6

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

That was before the 5km reach fish finder technology and dat 😁

In Greenland they keep the Greenland Husky as a working dog, a very tough breed. They could live a long time as they don’t get cancer etc, but they dispatch them aged 11 by shooting them directly in the head from behind, well away from other dogs.

Is a 50 year old lobster young or old in Joe Duffys head?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,669 ✭✭✭touts

Wait! Is she now arguing that it's ok to catch and eat the lobsters that are swimming because they are too stupid to stay at the bottom so therefore we are helping lobsters by getting the stupid ones out of their gene pool??

It's definitely like a Father Ted skit.

All we need is a Jack figure.
