Yes intermittent for me too - note I updated IOS just yesterday and that’s when it started so might be a connection between the two - it’s as if there’s an invisible bar at the top blocking me from clicking the message and notification bell - even hitting “boards” at top left can be problematic - if IOS issue surprised others haven’t posted yet as I’d imagine there’s a lot experiencing this issue

As an addition to above post I cleared cookies and logged in using chrome instead of safari - same issue - nearly the full menu bar at top of screen doesn’t work for me - could just about use the hamburger top left to navigate to here

Posting in the Liverpool thread in Soccer seems to be dead again. It seems to happen every game now. What's the point in a discussion site if you can't discuss?

Times out at post comment and eventually gives a cloud flare error.

Report function worked just now on desktop. Haven't tried mobile again.

As a test, I reported your post on mobile (Android Chrome) and I got the confirmation message ok.

I noticed that when I hit Flag and started typing, then the buttons got covered by ad \ keyboard and I could no longer see what I was typing. I had to X the ad to see the button to press.

When I tried to report a post last night, hitting the "Flag" button did nothing at all - no text box, visible or otherwise, came up to type a report into.

It appears to be working again now

No but I’ll keep a look out- good to see issue with notifications and messages on mobile being worked on - “desktop” is painful on mobile 😀

Same as above … quoted posts are slow to fill and indeed there are times when a post is selected to quote it doesn't show when replying. I'm still suffering from the cursor jumping backwards and/or jumbled words being formed at the start of every new paragraph. It's probably well over a year since I raised the latter problem but despite the assurances given nothing has been done.

Also for the last couple of weeks when I click through from an email notification of a new post in a thread I am taken to a post that is way further back in the thread. Chrome on fire tablet btw.

Which makes loading a page take aages if there are lots of quoted posts within it. Especially since there are 50 posts per page.

I'm not having any issues with slow quoting. I even quoted this post in case I was losing it and it is still the same quick quote as it always was. W11 Desktop Chrome.

I was going to wait until Friday, when a fortnight passed, to look if there has been any developments?. It is a feature that would have been very handy with coverage of elections!

Hey there,

Just touching base on these embedded links. The closest I could get was using the 'Insert Media' button, plugging in the BlueSky URL and adding it to the post that way: 

That makes a really stripped-down embed that looks like this: 

So it does create a clickable embed, similar to how @corkie shows above but does not have the appearance that I know most users are going to want. This has been escalated and is being considered a feature request for Vanilla so that will take some time to get through.

Thanks for escalating. Your method is the same as using the card method on the auto generated links!!
