Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No love lost there!

They must really hate him. Movistar usually only ride to chase down their own riders :)

Amazing athletes. What an effort and then they warm down while doing interviews.

Just looking at the results Kruijswijk was there with the Pog group at the end. What the hell????? They had to have written Rog off completely for him not to have dropped back.

Its crazy after races where they have to do that out in the open with fans all round annoying them asking questions.
Twice came across poor Connor Dunne having to get dressed in front of the crowd cause he couldn't fit in the camper van

Majka was there with Pog. Missed that. Next UAE rider was Rui Costa 13 minutes behind them. Brandon McNulty another 5 back

Wonder are they saving him for week 3 as he should be a decent domestique

A big FU from Movistar there

Can you imagine if Lefevre joined Movistar, what levels of begrudgery and pettiness they could achieve?

Movistar need to get over themselves and start acting like a team with a goal. Did you see Valverde and Mas blocking Kwiatkowski at the end.

No. Movistar have Enric Mas as a GC punt, who is/was close in time to Carapaz. What sort of team would they be to let a rival take time.out of their guy?

You might be able to argue that if it wasn’t Movistar who’ve a long history of pointless work

Did you see the build up where Kwiato was moaning like a b***h cause Ineos are not getting it all their own way.

    Much like the Ineos fans

I'm not an Ineos fan by any means.

Riding up to another racer at the end of a race, blocking his passage and putting your hands on him is totally out of order. Even if you are Valverde.

Hey lads, see that fella from the other team whose on the same time as our team leader, let's.let him go off up the road and get a big lead on our fella.

That not what he done at all. Kwiato was shouting at Mas and Bala pulled him aside for a chat. No one blocked him that's pure lies

We are watching the same video and seeing different things. Not going to argue with you but it looked pretty aggressive to me.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out over the rest of the Tour.

McNulty? He crashed during the ITT a few days ago (and finished last) so I doubt that they are saving him, it's probably more of a case of him trying to do the best he can with his injuries.

Wow Valverde waiting there ready to have a go at him, regardless of who is right or wrong Kwiato was a better man than I'd have been if someone put their hand on me like that.

On the Breakaway on Eurosport Dan Lloyd said that Ben O'Connor said/wrote that Ineos were trying to slow down Movistar and that Movistar were right to be so angry.

Is MVDP a worse GC rider than Tom Dumoulin was when he nearly won the Vuelta in 2015?
Prior to that, TD was pretty much a TT specialist, no one thought he could climb with the GC but he hung on until he was isolated and ambushed on nearly the last day.
I know MVDP is just doing all he can at the minute to honor the jersey and will probably pull out soon to prepare for the Olympics so it's not join to happen this year but is it possible that given the right parcours and team support, he could win a GT?
In the same vein, and more realistically for this year, can WVA mount a serious challenge?

Nobody really knows, MVDP has never done 3 weeks or been tested as a GC rider. He hadn't really done a TT before wednesday but put in a good shift there so who knows.
Would be some craic if he won the TDF and went to the Olympics on a mountain bike and not the roaad

Oh ffs. Rog owns the GC, all the team so know that , battle is for the podium. Movistar have Mas who was 5th last year so a reasonable podium candidate which would be huge for movistar. If you make a list of Mas rivals for a podium Carapaz is number 1.

Teams work on predictable models. Not what you watched on Netflix
