The only thing shocking about it, is that there's absolutely nothing shocking about it.

I'd like to buy the gamey lads who attempted the roundhouse and went after them with café tables a beer, but it's poor form by the bystanders not to jump in. These staff are only here breaking their boll1x so we can have a sociable beer, they deserve to be backed up whenever and wherever these feckers show up.

I've worked doors for years on weekends in town, grown up amongst the likes of them and I can tell you now, those lads would be in serious bother if one of those waiters was a hot head who like a fight.

I've seen guys on their own take on 4 or 5 lads on the street and batter a few of them, the others wet themaelves when they realise their up against a brawler.

But my best advice from having to put up with halfwits in town for years is to not engage, no matter how much they wind you up. Unless they touch a child or attack a woman, just ignore them.

Their families would be very quick to take a claim against you, don't forget that too!

Where are all the garda ? I've seen a good few videos like this over the last few weeks and there's not a garda in sight in Dublin . Whether it be gangs of teens battering each other on o Connell street or morons jumping on taxis in Chapel street , is there a lack of policing in the city . Its not a great look for tourism in our capital city, when its infested with scrotes who've no shame in acting like scumbags in board daylight. There needs to be a serious shake up of the justice system and the welfare system that seems to spawn feral kids from feral parents

What we need is some stout young fellows who can swing a sack of doorknobs pretty hard to clean up this scum

he has to be on something, you see him in the video and he is getting more excited at the escalating violence, on his toes and waving arms and kinda really overly hyper during it

Every single one of the above fyi have more police than Dublin has. Is there a shortage? Yes and thats not new information nor will additional police alone solve the issue when you have politicians whinging that the police went on patrol "looking intimidating" or that they dared to use their batons or indeed, when the scumbags will only see the inside of a cell while they are in Garda custody waiting to be released to mammy and daddy

That's good to know , I'm not knocking the garda btw as I've a family member whose one . Its just a bit shocking seeing multiple video's like that during the day in our capital city . You'd expect it at night but it's fairly brazen seeing it during the day . They must know they're on camera , it's like they've no fear of cops or the justice system .

If the individual was holding a knife at the time it would, but take it from someone whos been taken away in cuffs after defending himself on the job, its not a risk worth taking.

Defend yourself, but if you're martial arts trained or a boxer don't use the best of your abilities on attackers unless there's a threat to life.

Finally people are paying attention to what we who live and work in Dublin City know is a serious problem. It's a different world out in the suburbs of Maynooth /Leixlip /Celbridge and beyond. Feels like a different country in fact.

Meanwhile in Dublin people will continue to be attacked going about their business, stabbed on the way home from work or pushed under trains.

The prevalence of these type of violent incidents between staff of businesses in our capital city and little scrotes who are only in there to get into fights with people are indications of how ineffective our policing is in the city and if this has been affected by politicians interfering those politicians should be ashamed of themselves.

I will make statements that are fully correct having investigated hundreds of similar cases with 20 years in AGS

Agree with that. Knew a lad that hit back in self defense after being started on. Knocked your man out and done some serious damage to him, was just an unlucky blow.

Went to court and found out he had a bit of karate training going back, used it against him and he got locked up for 7 years

banging his head makes no difference. You are being attacked, you can use a kick. You will also (if charged) be sent for trial to a jury or people who walk the same streets and meet the same scumbags

I think the concern would be more that the scummer would still get a personal injury specialist solicitor to have a look anyway, and try to initiate court proceedings which, even if they went nowhere, could cost barman a few euro in getting his own solicitor sorted out.

Mors like alot of people endure their jobs, paying tax, trying to do the right thing to end up supporting scum and their families like this.

Best way for that to happen is that either crime is made an election point which it never has, or those types of images start to go out around the world and the Government are forced into doing something to protect the nations image for tourism.

I've been to most capitals in Europe now and I never felt unsafe or bothered about walking around, day or night, but big Irish towns and cities always have bad elements hanging around the city centres.
It's really only ourselves and the UK that have these types of welfare scroungers as society class, all brought on by policies that continue to this day.
