Are they not already playing an advantage?

That is very clever and excellent rule knowledge - absolutely brilliant.

    Gammy but brilliant

Great match but Munster let it slip at parts and are very lucky they held on

A bit of work to do if we want to get that final spot

CJ not rolling away was first advantage which was after the free kick IIRC

The penalty advantage came after that?

As far as TBP wins go that was awful

    This captains challenge is nonsense

It worked, don't be too upset. ;)

CJs last act in Thomond possibly saves our season. Absolute legend will be seriously missed

His form has picked up considerably

Does the ball not have to be out of the ruck? It hadn't passed the right foot of Cardiff player.

    Now. H'on Connacht.

Lmao if this works this is the gammiest win of all time - free kick for returning the ball into the ruck.

Except that the ball had never left the ruck - as Ollie Hodges did his very best to explain to Brace who genuinely didn't want to know.

That's what I thought. Brace just didn't want to know. Like the ref in the last round, ref refusing to allow a captains challenge because the doc had suggested it to the captain!

Whatever about the Captain's Challenge, the use it on the maul which seemed to be going forward was bizarre.

    Munster are lucky.

Yeah I think Brace had just had enough at that stage.

What's the permutations for making final now

Benetton still in the driving seat, I think, have won all their games. We've Zebre left in 2 weeks time, they've Connacht 2moro and Ospreys.

Brace was really poor. The period in the first half where Munster got back into the game came of the back of a sequence of poor decisions from Brace, every one of which favoured Munster. And when Cardiff tried to argue their case he just marched them back 10m. Twice. The use it call in the maul late in the second half was bizarre as it was definitely still going forward. And then the ball still being in the ruck....

I initially thought Brace looked good and had real promise, but his performances lately haven't been great. And I'd have some sympathy for Cardiff fans today tbh. There's definitely a case to be made that his performance cost them the game.

    Munster are lucky.

It moved moved after being stopped a second time though and even when it moved a third time it was stopped again. Brace should have called it anyway.

Ah no ref ever calls a stop the very moment it stops. That maul was moving forward pretty consistently and the use it call was very harsh.

Not really. You play 5 matches and the team on top at the end goes to the final. It's not even slightly complicated
