Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How does it work that Bannon gets (or got) a show on RTE? Is there an open selection process where people pitch ideas?

He's in the NK stable. They get all they cushy numbers at RTE

I assumed so. Is there any justification required for how the process works and people selected? Even an attempt to make it seem robust?!

Yes. Imagine an interview on the main TV programme where the guests actuslly aren't introduced. Are we to just assume its a talk about Ill health as a standard segment. Its actually disgusting. No reflection on the poor people who were ill.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭HBC08

The whole show is misery-there'll be a documentary on this in years to come.

I just said something similar to a mate of mine (he actually does a good bit of work for RTE)
He also makes short films,I told him he should make a short on the inexplicable bizarre direction the Late Late has taken over the last few years.
I think it would be big,it's such a strange tale.

  • Registered Users Posts: 56 ✭✭Gammyeye

    I should have known.
Had a busy evening, just about managed to pour a glass of wine, hit the couch and to my shame I thought "maybe it'll be different this time".
    No.
    MS AND Cancer. Double whammy.

I really feel sorry for both of them.

But Jesus Christ... It's a Friday evening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 423 ✭✭Government buildings

Too much talk about all these diseases and illnesses You lose all empathy or sympathy with the victims. Can't listen to it any more. Desperate shyte altogether.

We are witness a truly truly bizzare period in irish life in terms of rte and whatever freaks have assumed influence there.

I really think through the prism of time this period will be looked back on as pure insanity. People will be asking how did ye let this happen and this demented content be pumped out at a time the nation was at such a low.
