This is exactly what people mean when they say "it's cheaper to eat crap than healthy". Always found it baffling when people use a €15 takeaway pizza as an example of crap being expensive.

You could buy 25 of these for the price of a medium take-away pizza from Dominos

A bag of frozen broccoli is €0.49 in Aldi (10 pizza toppings). 100% tomato paste is also €0.49 (4–5 pizzas). Flour and salt is pennies per pizza base. Airborne yeast for sourdough starter is free. Even adding a modest amount of cheese (50g for €0.30 in Dunnes), it works out cheaper for the equivalent size of pizza to eat healthily. Instead of cheese, you could have plenty of onions, mushrooms etc. for the same price.

When you buy in bulk it's comparatively priced to eat healthy. However people are lazy and want convenience.

The thoughts of having a ****e day in work and coming home to then prep dinner vs a 20 minute slide into the oven can't be discounted.

Like this is a bargain, considering the price they - and comparable brands - usually sell for. Building a healthy diet off these you'll be disappointed but there's something to be said for moderation :pac:

Also who the feck put broccoli on a pizza? That's nearly as worse as those who put pineapple on them.

Steady on, what about adding some mandarins from a tin too for a proper hawaiian?, yummy!

You can put whatever you like on pizza. How can you be snobbish while singing the praises of a 61c Tesco pizza?

I'm hardly singing the praises of it, I've had one and they're ****e, but if you're in a pinch and you don't want to make dinner they suffice.

They're usually a €1 or so, and now currently 61c, it's 40% off which is a decent discount.

I still had the box. I just emailed Tesco asking them to pass on my Complement's to their Chemist ! :D

Those ingredients dont look that bad at all.

    Dextrose is essentially sugar
Sodium Ascorbate and Sodium Nitrate are just different forms of salts
Ascorbic Acid is a type of Vitamin.

Most processed food will have these.

how was that study conducted exactly?

I wouldn’t know but it is taught by HASSAP so I’d guess it’s reliable. I had to do training with them for a volunteer role I had. The amount of people I’ve noticed since who do not wash hands or briefly dip fingers under tap in restrooms was a complete surprise to me.

There’s a thin crust pizza in aldi for 68 or 69 cent and there delicious,
    Bargain at the price,
As good as the very expensive good fella one,
I sometimes put few extra pieces cheese on to make it extra cheesy
