GW 35 Transfer Thread

Too early to make transfers until Liverpool / Man U fixtures confirmed, but it’s never too early to plan.

Currently have a bench of Sanchez, Bamford, Dallas and Coufel. Unless there’s a better GW to bench boost I need to improve that.

    Bamfired and Dallas out.

Could get DCL and a 4.1 defender. Is Mitchell back in favour and likely to play twice?

Thomas is currently starting for Leicester, has a double and is 4.1

Im thinking the J Lingz train has come to a slowdown, might be time to see if there are better options out there. That said his remaining fixtures are decent enough though he wasnt really on it earlier tonight or v Chelsea. Theres not much around at his price, Perez or maybe back to Gundog as once tomorrows CL semi is over City only have PL games left to play till the end of the season.

I dunno what to do with Ricardo, it looks as if he has lost his place

Have to agree. Lindgard was scoring above his track record. This is a case of form is temporary. Class is permanent. Time to jump off that particular bandwagon. Also have Diaz to get rid of but have two free transfers so will set them up with two double game week on players who then don't blank. Thinking El Gazi may be the new Lindgard and will have to put thought into my Diaz replacement.

    Son+Dawson > Jota+TAA is one option I’m lucking at.

Could do -8 for Gundog > Zaha but not sure if worth it.

Zaha is interesting, he may be after a move this summer so could be a decent call for the remaining games.

Using my bench boost this week and am likely to take hits to maximise it. I have Areola as my 2nd goalie, trying to work out if he is better with his 1 match at home to Burnley vs Guaita with his 2 matches this week. Fulham don't seem to keep many clean sheets.

Very marginal one if it's for a hit, 2 decent fixtures but both away and Palace have only one away CS all season.

    Any thoughts on
    Cancelo and Regulion to
    Robertson and Thomas or
    Shaw(AWB) and Kabak?

Really like owning the two but I'm guessing Pep Roulette will hit me this weekend and I need Liverpool defensive cover for the double. Can't stretch to TAA, Robertson leaves me with 4.2m. Thomas may be worth a punt for the double, he has looked decent but I'm not sure how nailed on he is.

I only have Bruno and Salah as United/Pool cover so assuming both will have a double Shaw(AWB) and Kabak would leave me 0.9m. Would probably end up going with AWB as I think Telles might be due a game.

I am looking at Phillips in for Struijk now he seems to be available again. I already have Konsa, Ward, TAA and Digne. If I had more money I would be looking at Kabak. Think it all boils down to who you think has most of chance of a clean sheet or for that matter who will play all the matches. I would go with United defender and Kabak if it was me.

Didn't notice it in the Chelsea match as much - as there was a lot riding on that game, so was tight match. But felt that Benrahma's involvement last night impacted Lingard - although did he have a shot saved by Pope near the end. Antonia back will help create space in games to come - and if they win all their remaining games - the chances are they will get top 4.

Alonso/Bowen out, only really need one to play going forward. Looking at...
    Robertson/ASM
    or
    Thomas/Zaha

Robbo the safer play, although Liverpool really struggling with CS's even with their nice fixtures, conceding to Newcastle, Leeds, Villa in the last 3 and only 3 CS's in 15.

Why do you want Robbo? it your buying him for CS - you might has well get Phillips or Kabak.

Yeah true, it's for attacking potential really isn't it. And at the Liverpool aren't exactly firing on all cylinders lately.

    Back to the drawing board

Was thinking that if Chelsea get through to the CL final to play City tonight then the City Chelsea game this weekend in the PL takes on extra significance as Pep will want to put down a psychological marker and beat them. Would think that means Pep fields much of his strongest team that won over PSG last night.

Or maybe they will not want to show their hand.

I wonder which Utd players would start all 3. Maguire is probably the only one who'd start all 3

    Maybe AWB too

Have Shaw and Greenwood, Maguire in for Dias maybe in terms of United coverage.

Bruno the most obvious captain in history though

My triple captaining of Middlesbrough's Alvaro Negredo a few seasons ago begs to differ :p

I think that’s the real question. How many will play all 3 games. It’s a crazy schedule and United will finish 2nd no matter what. Might end up being a double gameweek in effect since very few if any players will play more than 180 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,605 ✭✭✭skippy15

Think I'll stick to original plan and go vydra son to dcl and zaha, debated greenwood instead but rotation and the sheffield united factor swing it for Zaha for me,
Edit just seen the fixtures announcements, mmm maguire henderson come into the fold rip it up go again

Big hit incoming, no Pool and only Bruno from United.

I have absolutely no idea atm what to do with those fixtures announced.

I have two free transfers was gonna get in Ward from Palace for Stones then look at replacing Raphinha. I already have Shaw and Bruno then Trent Salah and Jota. I don't think it be a good idea to get in another United player and end up being down four players the following week with Nacho included.

I had an awful week last time out so I really need to improve this week so huge pressure on me now as im only 20 or so ahead in my money league and 60 odd points behind in another league.

No one mentioning Henderson, wondering is he worth it? I have exact money for Forster/Dallas/Pereira to Henderson/Mitchell/JWP.
On BB Gives me 3 triple gw,10 DGW and 9 for the following week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,860 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Looking at this for a -12

    Kane to DCL
    Son to Salah
    Saiss to Trent
Bowen to ESR (need the cash)

    Yolo

I am doing my bench boost too this week and I am definitely considering Henderson. I have Areola as my sub goalie who I don't fancy at all. Henderson has started the last 7 league matches. Trying to see what the catch is!

Strangely I don't see this changing my planned:

Bamfired & Dallas >> DCL & Thomas (Leicester)

If anything, it makes that Leicester game a lot easier. I can't see any Utd player getting minutes in all 3 games.

Bailly and Tuanzebe could easily fill in for Maguire in one of the games.

AWB doesn't have anyone really to sub in does he?

Cavani could get the Villa and Pool game?
Does Ole give Greenwood the three games for an outside at the Euro's, now that they can take 25 players.

Decision, as others say, United will have blank in 36, so assuming you have Nacho as well, you could end up with only 10 players or less.

I think the selection tomorrow night will tell a alot.

Maguire and Henderson the most likely to start all 3 i think. Telles is likely to start at least one instead of Shaw i'd wager. AWB a good shout but he could put Axel or someone out there for a game too.

If i didn't already have a gk with a DGW i'd deffo be bringing Henderson in.

Would like a Utd def but already have Cavani Greenwood and Bruno. 2ft. Surely best to just stick with what I've got?

Would be crazy to transfer a united player out to bring in another. May even be best to bank one of the transfers to manage BGW36

Also the risk with United of more fan protests leading to further postponements. Or do you think that’s unlikely?

    Williams

Does he not usually play on the left - as is behind Shaw/Telles?

Had thought about that - but were would the games go otherwise - i would the police/pl will be making sure the players can get to the stadium safely and the crowds can't get to the stadium

Big hit incoming, no Pool and only Bruno from United.

I realised about half way through the season that I had accidentally owned no United players. I had tried to get some players in at a few times but injuries & game postponements due to COVID meant I had other fires to fight. And tbh I didn't think the Shaw points were sustainable etc.

It then got me thinking of yer man Magnes Carlson who had got top 10 or something one year without owning TAA & Robbo on their big runs so I said feck it, I would try and replicate that in some sort of way. And pure stubborness to be very honest.

This triple game week is REALLY testing me as I am quite close in my main ML in a 4 way battle and all my rivals are heavily invested in United players.

He’s naturally right footed so can play both RB and LB.

Any update on lacazettes injury anywhere ? 50% to play but I'm interested in punting given my current backwards slide and with him playing at home to west Brom as part of their double, I think he could be a nice differential

Both Son and Kane got an assist in the reverse fixture in GW17.

Right footed and would be seen as back up for AWB this year, but Ole hasn't shown much belief in him as a deputy there this season.

The lack of a GW36 wouldn't be edging me towards that punt.

    Whispers..... Theo Walcott :)

    Dont mind
11 players and subs with a min of 2 games.
Good to have this time of season in mini leagues.

    Lindelof and Zaha in

How vital is Bruno? My only way to get him is to sell Salah or Son.

Alternatively, I can do Gundog > Greenwood and Lowton > Ward for -4.
