Definition of a beginner

    Thinking of joining a local club as they have a very good deal for beginners. Now i was never any good, never got lessons etc and played sporadically years ago (id say maybe 20 times over the course of 6 or 7 years, and havent played for about 15 years and never even had an official handicap though i think i was a member of a different club for one year about 20 years ago. Do i qualify as a beginner?
