Car Allowance/Company Car

I am wondering what people’s experience is with car allowance and company car, with car allowance did you also receive fuel allowance/card? Did you pay BIK on personal use of fuel card with allowance/company car?

On the topic of Company Car vs Car Allowance, would anyone know whether an employer can compel an employee opting for a Car Allowance to drive a specific type/value/age of car?

It would depend on their terms of employment I suppose.
Usually an employee in receipt of a car allowance provides their own car and selection is a matter for themselves as long as it is fit for purpose and roadworthy.
