Where has this guy being? I wonder can he just go on like this..

Going without Iheanacho the past few gameweeks has been a big mistake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,265 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Getting Vardy in and captaining was the definition of me trying to be too clever. Just go with the form guy.

I don't see why not. He was a super talented youngster at City. Been in Vardy's shadow for the past few years but with Vardy past his prime and iheanacho just entering his peak years, he could be a 20+ goal striker for the next 5 seasons potentially.

Anything at all from Vardy would be mildly epic at this stage

Probably should have scored there - Nacho set him up

Perez should have scored - would have been a Nacho assist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,116 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Vardy could have had a hat trick tonight, so frustrating.

Only reason I don't have him because Iheanacho was on form and cheaper.

The -12 I took to set myself up for this gamweek - two gameweeks ago paid off. points wise.

But I have basically yo-yoed from 480k to 700k ish back to 500k in the space of four gameweeks after 3 red arrows.
I am wondering was it worth the torment?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Would have been Nacho assist is another phrase constantly popping up too. Guy is an all rounder extraordinaire.

It has just clicked for him, Supposedly he was always doing the likes of that in training for Leicester,

I remember when City sold Iheanacho. I remember kind of thinking it was a mistake for City letting him go. But then he did nothing consistent for ages and now this mad run.
All between the ears I suppose.

They will probably buy him back now? I wonder do they have a buy back clause?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

3 years left according to transfermarket

Over the moon at that, bought Nacho last week and he returned immediately, bought Castagne this week and he does the same with Nacho assisting him and then scoring himself. Nacho could have had another two assists if Vardys finishing was better, surprised he didnt make hay tonight.

63 all out with bonus points to come, VHEWT

The funny thing, people talking about Nacho - after having a decent second half of the season (granted not his fault he wasn't picked), but then you have the likes of Chris Wood, banging in 10+ goals a season for last 4 seasons, and no one battling an eyelid as he plays with Burnley.

    65 all out.

Up to 56k OR - highest all season.

Burnley don’t score enough goals to warrant getting an attacker the majority of the time. Their defensive assets are always more popular, Pope especially but because he is 5.5 this season he was selected a lot less with Lowton and Mee probably offering better value.

My head to head league more or less comes down to this second half. I absolutely have to get something from Iheanacho or Maddison (and Castagne not to be involved!) I was hoping for a hammering here, this week is rough

It’s easy to moan when things go wrong so I have to acknowledge that Iheanacho’s goal saved my season! After it looked like Castagne had ruined it. Delighted.

Wood is a solid signing but let’s face it he was on 7 goals and 2 assists before this weekend. You would have needed to have show patience or luck/judgement to own him for Wolves

Bamford was cheaper at the start of the season and had 14 goals and 10 assists.

Wood is good. But is he ever expected to be in the top 3 strikers any Gameweek.

Good point, the amount of times I used to get Barnes instead of Wood though.
I think that puts me off.

Plus lots end up trebling Burnley defence.

I always mean to get Westwood in as he always seems to tick along with bonus points corners etc. But they always seem to price him awkwardly.

Ended up on 51 (-4). Above average I guess.

4 players returned for me. A late captaincy change from Salah -> TAA coupled with the last minute Newcastle goal with double Liverpool defence a defining moment in my GW.

All out on 28 after Maddison blank. Worst week of the season with only Rudiger scoring and captain Fernandes clean sheet point. Predicted drop of about 100,000 places OR to 530,000ish so NVHEWT.

68 (-8), a very profitable hit. 23 points behind ML leader. Down from 80 not so long ago. HEWT

He is an in form striker now though - just like Nacho is.

Before yesterday Wood had 3 goals and 2 assists in the previous 5 games.

Wood has returned 10+ goals over 4 seasons. Giving that he now has 6 goals and 3 assist in 6 games - is he worth bringing in now - they have some great fixtures.

Don't really get your comment on Bamford, yes he's had a great season, but just like Vardy, DCL and a number of other strikers, he's actually done little or nothing in the second half of the season.

36 points.. Big regret was bringing in Vardy instead of Nacho for H.KANE and now using my FT to reverse the decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,253 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

53 and down a couple of hundred places to 4.6k.

    No Iheanacho destroying me recently.

61 no hit and green arrows up to 55k from 70k

    Good week, we move

70 puts me upto just inside the top 8k. Very pleased. Salah (c), Castagne, Rudiger and Shaw the main contributors to the rank rise considering having Iheanacho was basically just a rank holder.
