Much like household appliances.they last 4/5 years and are not serviceable. Throw it out and buy a new one

That's entirely up to you (and, potentially, (an)other interested party/ies).😁

erm, It is perfectly serviceable, lightening fast, working perfectly but now unable to be updated… which means in time updates for apps won’t work or update on the current un updatable software….again, 8/9/10 year old machine, fine. 5 year old version…not… imagine if Dell computers decided not to provide updates or support for a 5 year old PC ? ‘ throw it out and buy a new one ‘ ain’t much of a service / product..

todays TA…. It’s going to be a busy assed Saturday… I need to lubricate my treadmill, but the hex key that loosens the belt has gone awol. I’m hoping my dad has in his menagerie of tools / bits etc, a standard of key that will fit it… otherwise it’s a trip to the local hardware shop

I see you have met every member of my family of origin.

My job is very fluid and some days I'm in the office and others I'm out/wfh, each has a timetable I have to be guided by.

So on my Saturday off I have decided I'm not leaving the house, I do housework, self-care, sort out washing, wardrobe etc., listen to podcasts or watch YouTube.

This has been the trend for three months now, every single sat morning someone says "we have to do this or then or go here or there"

Ta, that if I stated implicitly that I was going to potter around on Saturdays anymore and then didn't, I would never hear the end of it.

It feels like every single person I have spoken to since Wednesday evening misunderstands what I am saying/doesn't understand/can't hear.

I know I'm old and speak irish-english and not americian but when did ppl stop understanding basic language/concepts?

People who reply to a post but don't bother to quote it. It can make a thread hard to follow.

    I know yeah 🙂

My poxy shoulder. It's getting worse in spite of physio and dry needling. Can barely use my left arm anymore and I couldn't tell you the last time I got an uninterrupted night's sleep.

When you go to sit down to have a cup of tea and some chocolate, but you ate the chocolate before you sat down.

Had the last two weeks off work and it's been gradually getting later and later every morning getting out of bed.

The fear is starting to kick in now of getting up at 4:30am Monday morning 😬

Likewise but it’s 6.30 for me, not looking forward after 2 weeks lie ins

I go shopping in Dunnes every Saturday morning at 8.00am. It opens at that time.

My mother asked me to get something for her in Tesco. Tesco opens at 7.00am so grand I thought - I’ll get up 15 minutes earlier & go to Tesco around 7.45am & then go to Dunnes.

Arrived at Tesco at 7.45am. Closed. Learned that they recently changed to 8.00am opening. They didn’t have the item I wanted either.

My related TA is our stupid alcohol sale laws that stop you picking up a few bottles of beer or wine with your weekly shop if you happen to do it early 🙄

Slept shìt again last night and have been awake since 5am. I was finally starting to feel a bit drowsy and like I might actually fall back asleep there, except my body has decided that it needs the loo and to be fed. FML.

When there's a brand of clothing that you might like to buy but it just reminds you of (wannabe) drug dealers. So, you don't bother.

This is the 3rd pack of coloured biro's I've bought, 3rd pack that doesn't work!

    No receipt of course.

Was just thinking today, why can't I get/store some electricity today(as it's cheaper on the plan at weekends) and then use it when something important needs charging during the week?

Ta lack of sleep and lack of tech that lets me store electricity at will.

This is a cute TA really. Finding my cat's tiny little muddy paw prints on my tablet cover, she gets away with everything 😍

Out of interest where have you heard of her lately?

When you go to tap your card but the vendor hides the screen so you don't know how much you're spending. Having to ask to see what you're being debited for. Like that's basic stuff I would have thought.

TA1: A tissue in the wash. Why it is always a dark wash? In the tumbledryer now to let centrifugal force work its magic.

TA2: I bought fresh green beans on Friday, they're only fit for the compost bin today.

TA3: I was out in the rain so now I need to wash my hair again. 🙄

TA4: I left my bedroom window slightly open and the rain got in.

I may take to the bed. 🤦‍♀️

My TA is I thought I’d be clever and put the bin out earlier when it wasn’t raining instead of waiting until it was dark and raining but it has just blown over. Thankfully wasn’t a recycling day so nothing to clear up, but now I have to go out and bring it in and bring it back out again first thing tomorrow.
