No . Wales is not a country. Its a country of the uk . Same as England and Scotland. The single country on the island of Britain is the uk. Wales is of administrative area of the UK. Much like Lancashire or any other county.

There do not raise their own money via taxation. They do not have any defence force. There is absolutely no difference their laws and those of England. They administrate money from the uk government. They have less self determination than a state of the US

It shocks me , but not surprising. Judges are completely In a world of their own. There seems to be a complete breakdown between learning the law from a book and implementing it in the real world.

Not exactly. Scotland has an independent legal system. Wales doesn't. It has the same judiciary as England. Some laws may be only applicable in Wales.

I fcukin knew it!!!!!! Waking up this morning to a wedding invite the same date as we're booked in to see Bill Bailey in April. At least I'm less annoyed about this one coz I've seen him already and I'd enjoy a good post-covid wedding more but still! I said they come in threes!

unlike Scotland therefore does not have separate courts from England. However, laws made in Wales may be applied and interpreted in any court in England and Wales, although the law itself is not applicable outside

Tiktok, I joined at the behest of my girlfriend who uses it for her work, she’s a psychologist with a lot of younger people on her books and she and her peers use it to be a bit more connected with their client base during covid, posting about coping strategies and stuff…and posts TikTok’s about varying things.. great. My cousin and his wife & kids are home from Manchester… they went on a sightseeing tour for four days down to Cork & Kerry and are spending a couple of days in Dublin before returning…

my Dad on learning this has invited the four of them plus two other cousins and my Aunt up to my folks place for a late lunch tomorrow…

my Dad is his godfather and almost his second Dad as my cousins Dad died when my cousin was 12…

But it’s annoying that a little more disciplined thought couldn’t have prevailed and he had held fire and considered the numbers in an averaged size house (10 of us) and the pressure that might put on my mother who a few years back would have revelled catering for a large family occasion and done so spectacularly but with covid, her advancing years and a busy week…. “Sure Carol, a few sandwiches will do” wasn’t what she wanted to hear in reply… saner less emotive thinking and we could have all met up to at the pub, massive heated outdoor dining, got a meal, drinks and fûcked off after a bit.
