Hi members .. earlier I asked about the tikka t1x and shooters experience with it now my local firearms dealer has another .22lr of interest!!
    Anschutz 1415/16 with a 22inch barrel!!
It's being sold with a scope and mod for €550 asking
I'm sure there are members here that are very in the know about these anschutz and if this gun at that price is worth it!!
Iv read that they are very accurate and the older models have all metal bolt !!
I haven yet got to see it in the flesh but I would appreciate some feed back before I make a decision il post a picture thanks !

    Hi
I used have an anschutz before, model 1422 I think with the rollover cheekpiece. An absolute dream to shoot extremely accurate so anschutz are 10/10 for accuracy uou won't go wrong with it, not sure about price

Having looked to them the price is a little on the steep side I think anyway!! But by all accounts they seem to be very accurate !! I have not yet looked at it or down the barrel but no harm gathering some info first!!

This is a very good rifle, action not up to 1422 and the later 1700 series but value for money it is excellent.

Accuracy does not deterioate on these guns unless badly abused, if it looks in good condition then it will shoot well.

On a budget you can't get better, however I would offer €500 or ask for some free ammo to seal the deal!!!

Anschutz, any Anschutz all day long:):), being an Anschutz owner I'm biased in their favour.

Superb rifle, based on the Anschutz 64 action.

Expensive compared to other rifles, but, you buy once, you cry once.

We have one in our club which shot a new NASRPC National record at 50 metres, 200/200 on one card. Lovely neat crisp action and superb trigger. It was the 1761 MPR version.

I have the 1710 and it's unreal, they probably make the best rim fire rifles but there center fires are sh!te, I bought a brand new 308 about 2/3 years ago and it wouldn't hit the paper at 100 yards

I've a deposit down on a Bergara, part of me was thinking an Anschutz for the same money would have been a better idea.

How that left the factory like that I dont know !! The rim fire rifles are top notch but 1500euro on a .22lr is a bit steep for me!!!
I may get the chance to properly examine that 1415/16 over the week or next weekend and see if I can get him down to a more realistic price !! For that money u could have a new cz !! Or 50 euro more a new tikka t1x. Both capable of bunny shooting off sticks at night 50-70 m ...

Tell me about it was a sickner, myself and lads at the range put a lot of hours and different rounds and scopes on it nothing would suit it.

My 1710 has the 54 trigger, it's old enough too I paid €1000 for it and was told at the time they would give me back the same money on a trade in. I wouldn't trade it tbh as its super accurate. Imho a cz is a good rifle having had a few over the years but anschutz are build better and I found them to have better accuracy ( rim fire)

SK Match red box is pretty reliable (worth spending the extra pennies), however nothing beats trying differnt makes in any rifle as sometimes performance varies, yellow box for practice.

Experimenting with a rifle that just wont shoot is a right pain in the h***.
And ya have try all avenues before finally giving in !!
The Anschutz that I posted in the op at the right money and if the inside of the barrel & action is clean then it could be a strong contender.. I'm looking for a working gun for hunting ...mainly bunny shooting it will be minded but cant garentee it wont get scratched along the way so for that reason a the high end stuff is kinda out for me I'd be to afraid if tipping it off a gate or wall etc ..

While I do not have a 1712, this is what Anschutz rifles are capable of.

The sk rifle match is great ammo. I'm also having great results with it in my cz 455. Very affordable ammo aswell.

Now, now, ok, that was cherry picking. :D

SK make great ammo, if your rifle likes it.

How are you guys showing images in your thread instead of just links?

Edit - OK, figured it out I think, but, images are too large, help anyone........

    I use imgbb.com.
Drop the pic onto the page and use the BBCode full linked option. (Should be the default). It already has the square brackets and url thingy, so no need to click on insert pic, just paste into your post. It seems to size them automatically.

The below is a CZ 452 Lux in a Klinsky Target Stock at 56 yards, windy enough at times.
The setup is capable of more, I was getting back into shooting at the time and it was my first time with a bench, rest and bagsrear bag. I'm not making excuses, it is what it is, I'm not the greatest shot in the world!

Concur 100%.I have a 1422 with a double set trigger that I inherited from my dad, who got it in the early 1970s. The thing is still a tack driver despite a large amount of ammo going downrange over the years. So you can't go wrong with one of these rifles unless it has been wilfully abused and neglected.:)
