Hi, I have a question about capital gains tax on shares. I am intending to buy a few shares which I intend to hold onto long term. Do I need to tell Revenue I have bought shares even though I am only sitting on them this year (obviously in a year or two when I sell them for a profit or indeed a loss I will declare for CGT)?
