8.5 degrees on the m50 and dropped to 3 degrees as I passed under a shower near leixlip I've never seen temp drop so quick and by that much in about 10 min.

Have seen drops like that before. Were you driving west bound on the N/M4 at the time? If so, you would have been driving in the opposite direction of the shower so from your point of view, the temperature would have dropped quicker than if you had not been moving at speed.

Yeah driving west. Very true. It was very odd seeing snow flakes in the shower and the car saying 8.5 degrees
