Is there such a thing as height adjustable bench?

Am pretty short so usually have to test my feet on the bench itself which means I can't use leg drive. Are any benches height adjustable? I know the alternative is to have something on either side that I can rest my feet on but my feeble brain can't think of any strong solution that is easy to set up in living room where currently work out. In my gym used use a few 20kg plates either side, but funnily enough , don't have them to spare

The solution you mention is your best bet.

Yoga blocks or similar either side? You just need something uniform and non slip.

Yoga blocks, never even knew existed. Perfect solution, am really short so likely need 4 of them glued together either side . Thanks .

Yoga blocks are a special buy in Aldi at the moment too

Ah you’d never need 4 each side I’d say.

Blocks are usually about 3" thick so you shouldn't need 3 each side.

Height-adjustable benches would be handy in Flyefit. The spacings for the safeties are 4" apart so if I'm doing pin squats, I invariable have to stand on plates to be at the right point when the bar is on the safeties. And for pin press, I have to put the bench on plates.

Different problems but both would be solved by height-adjustable benches :)

Tape them to your feet. Only need a couple then!

I was thinking about this, and as more women strength train now it does make sense that someone manufacture either height-adjustable benches, or make someone just makes a shorter legged bench. Or maybe the thing to come up with would be some kind of attachment that clamped to underneath a bench to provide foot rests at the right height.

I guess if someone was getting their bench made by an Irish metal fabricator then they could specify a lower height.

if i had enough energy left to be an entrepreneur, this could be my way out of my 9-5 existence. Yeah its a simple enough fix, an attachment to fit would be perfect.
If the bench is too low, then the racks also need to be low enough that can lift the bar off
As an aside, the regular bench i ordered is semi commercial so will have to build an extension at side of house to store it. I didn't really think through

And with more women competing with powerlifting, you'd have thought one of the big equipment suppliers would have considered it so that getting feet flat during bench isn't an issue.

Doesn't need to be as high end as the eleiko seal row bench but something that can move a few inches below standard bench height.
